‘Gazelle’ is a design that combines aesthetics, ergonomics, and function in one object. The organic and smooth shape of this muddler is a key factor in its ability to attract attention. The ergonomic added value in the design of the grip results in a perfect comfort for users, any way the muddler is held.
The Project
This project was the result of an effort to perfect and fine-tune the designer's hand tool skills. The phases covered in this project included brainstorming a variety of forms and shapes inspired by different elements; desirability analysis by using a sample group of 10; development of the design with a focus on durability, ergonomics, and aesthetics; prototyping; and usability analysis using the same sample group of 10.
