‘Foreverlast’ is a concept of a portable cemetery pot that aims to facilitate an eco-friendly lifestyle—and afterlife. In northern countries such as Finland, flowers and plants in cemeteries are often purchased and replanted every year. To this end, ‘Foreverlast’ as a portable pot is designed to reduce the related expenses, manpower, and energy required for producing and planting new plants every year.
The goal of the project was to develop a sustainable concept that firstly, reduced the use of various resources involved in the annual planting at cemeteries, and secondly, could be made from recycled materials; in this case polymer.
The steps covered in this project included context analysis, user analysis, ideation for a solution, market research, sketching and further developing a selected solution, 3D CAD modeling, technical drawings, and rendering.
